Just 45 min from London

Cambridge, just a 45 minute train ride from London,
is home to 22,000 students and one of the fastest
growing areas in Britain. It’s combination of
beautiful gothic architecture, tranquil punting on the
river Cam and botanic gardens make it one of the
most visited cities in the UK. However as you would
expect with such a large population of students
Cambridge offers much more than stunning scenery.
A fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants,
and pubs are complemented by
the full range of High Street Shops.

We understand that how to finance your studies is

often the first thing you’ll be considering when applying
to study overseas. Every year thousands of student’s
come to the UK to study and find (as long as they
budget sensibly) that the UK is an affordable
place to live and study.

In order to help you do this we have created a guide
of what you should expect to spend during your time
at CRIC. However your own budget should reflect
realistically your priorities in your expenditure -
as this is different for every individual the table below
can only be used as a guide.

Example Budget

Cost per academic month
Accommodation £330
Food £80
Travel (within the UK) £25
Books and stationary £25
Telephone £35
Socialising £120
Clothing £25
Personal (Toiletries, laundry, etc) £40
Miscellaneous £40
Total around £720
